Selva was born in Illinois and graduated with a BA in Interior Architecture. After working at major companies as a design consultant for 8 yrs, she dedicated her life to yoga. She now leads international teacher trainings, and has been aired on health channels & talk shows. She also holds several gold medals in the International Yoga Olympic Games.

Haruna Asakawa Uriu

Haruna was born in Kobe, Japan and graduated with a BA & MA in Psychology. Working as a psychoanalyst in California, Haruna understands the link between mental & physical health. She serves to help others build resilience and positivity through OYS and is currently giving classes to schools, businesses, and health institutions in Los Angeles.

James Uriu

James Masato Uriu was born in Chiba, Japan and graduated with a BA in Conflict Resolution and International Studies. James travelled the world to find spiritual truths and found it in Yoga Academy. He now gives classes in the greater LA area to help others heal from life traumas, find balance, and discover their true selves through the path of spiritual evolution. James also offers classes and teacher trainings in Japanese.

Hannah Cherise Bacaron

Hannah Cherise Bacaron was born in Philippines, and currently resides in Orange County. As an avid yoga practitioner for over ten years, and a yoga gold medalist she distinguishes the value of the Original Yoga System in comparison to the popularized yoga practices. Hannah provides classes to reintroduce people to who they really are - which is an eternal soul living in unconditional love.

Kalani McManus

Kalani was born in Honolulu, Hawaii and was raised in WA. He is a known dancer, choreographer, gymnast, & martial artist. Kalani established a modern dance company and was featured in notable entertainment companies. Kalani now offers Yoga education in Long Beach, CA.

Sherina Shabazian Camacho

Sherina was born in Tehran, Iran and moves to Dallas Texas to receive a BS in Chemistry and an MD in Mexico. Sherina is fluent in English, Frasi, and Spanish. She sees that yoga and physical health are interlinked. She offers classes in Mexico and Nevada.

Tatiana Pushkina

Tatiana was born in Tver, Russia and graduated in International Communications with an emphasis in French, German, and English. With a passion for the arts, she became an actress and beauty pageant winner. Tatiana now provides classes in Russian and English in the LA area.

Carlos Camacho

Carlos was born in Artesia, CA and was raised in Bullhead City, AZ. With a PhD in engineering, Carlos is able to link spiritual knowledge with science. After his encounter with the Original Yoga System, Carlos noticed his body is now a strong receptor that attracts universal life energy for spiritual evolution.

Christine Barlotta

Christine is a native of Auburn, NY and works as a middle school English Teacher. With trainings in Barre, Zumba, & Pilates, she noted that the Original Yoga System provided immense value to her life versus the mainstream yoga that pulled her away from the essence of yoga. Now she feels at home!

Eric Brazile Jr.

Eric was born in Los Angeles, CA and studied biology and human communications. With a love for music, he uses the healing power of sound as a behavioral therapist. Eric witnessed firsthand how proper breathing techniques, posture, and meditation can calm anxiety and restore inner peace. He aims to help others gain a mindful perspective.

Alexander Le

Alexander Le was born in Monterey, CA and graduated with a MA in public health from Harvard. He is very active in volunteering, sports, academia, music, and dance. Alex believes the greatest gift in life is giving, and noticed that Yoga has always kept him physically and mentally sound along his athletic routines.

Jiachao Yang

Jia is an entrepreneur in the LA area working in space engineering. He has been practicing for over 10 years and uses the Original Yoga System to stay centered and sturdy in the midst of chaos and panic. He aims to share this benefit with others so that they can also balance their life.

Lisa Mellinger

Lisa was born in Baltimore, MD with a natural passion for yoga and a keen awareness of spiritual beings. She started yoga at the age of 10 and has experience in ballet and gymnastics. Lisa aims to share the gift of the Original Yoga System to rehabilitation centers to those in need. She is truly grateful to encounter Yoga Academy.

Nitya Bhoomi Reddy

Nitya was born in Hyderabad, India and graduated with a MBA and MS in Information Systems. Nitya learned at a young age that yoga should be a part of everyone's life, and quickly fell in love with the Original Yoga System. Her entire family, including her daughter Sai Sahasra, love practicing yoga together. Nitya teaches in Irvine, CA.

Eric Hayato Lorin

Hayato was born in LA, CA and recived a BS in Exercise Physiology as well as a BA in Japanese Language. Before starting OYS, Hayato has had a difficult time with depression, self-loathing, and maintaining a genuine connection with others. In the short amount of time of being exposed to Original Yoga System, Hayato has learned the importance of being self-aware and learning to let go of ones' own expectations on the path of self love.

Rafael Trias

Rafael was born in Okinawa, Japan and is an avid outdoor enthusiast. He graduated with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and worked in fast paced automotive and aviation industries. With long distance running, cycling, motorsports, and rock climbing under his belt, Rafael sought the Original Yoga System to recover from chronic pain. He now enjoys his activities on a whole new level, and uses the breath to connect to the present.

Sevel Yoral

Sevel was born in Bulgaria and worked in the banking industry after receiving an MBA in Turkey. After encountering OYS, she noticed her awareness rose daily and gained the ability to stay in the moment for the first time in her life. She became an instructor to share the Original Yoga System with others.

Jon Kocker

Jon was born in Pasadena, CA and graduated with a BS in kinesiology with a focus on sports studies. Working as a sports coach, Jon has always been interested in how sports can develop one's life on and off the field. Previously skeptical of the current yoga fads, Jon found true value in the OYS and now shares them with his athletes.

Mckenzie Thompson

Born and raised in Kentucky, McKenzie moved to the west coast and fell in love with the Original Yoga System. Working as a hair and makeup artist, she loves being a service to others and has been honoring her yoga practice in the quaint mountains of Idyllwild, offering classes to all ages.

Born in Auburn, NY Marry Anne holds a MA in Theology and is the owner of The Center, a natural health center and spa in Auburn. Over the years she has studied with some of the foremost leaders in the field of Energy Anatomy, Spirituality, & Natural Healing, accumulating 20+ years in Complementary and Alternative Medicine. She fell in love with OYS, and now shares it with various groups.

Angelina Breen

Born in Syracuse, NY, Angelina has always felt a call to healing and works as a massage therapist and reiki master. Once starting the Original Yoga System, Angelina found a happiness she never felt before. She has always known herself as a spiritual being and confirmed that she was on the right path with this practice.

Jim was born in Caracas, Venezuela and received a BA in Child Development with a minor in Art and Animation. He currently teaches as an animation producer at the Santa Monica College. Upon encountering OYS, he felt something different in the practice and decided to take the Yoga Academy Techer Training to further his practice and discover himself.

Nidhi Tiyyagura

Nidhi was born in LA, California and moved many times throughout her life. From a young age, she wanted to help others heal so she received her MD in India. Seeing that the Original Yoga System brought peace and clarity in her life and to those around her, she has decided to dedicate her life in sharing this deep knowledge.

Kerin Bombarde Schwartz

Kerin was born and raised in San Francisco and started a estate company after receiving education in the communication sector. After her first OYS class, she couldn't get enough and attended to classes 6 days a week. She continues her practice to help others unlock their "hidden, incredible potential" inside.

Sarah Beaird

Sarah was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and began practicing yoga for health and clarity. When she discovered the Original Yoga System, she practiced consistently and could see that her body was physically improving and healing. As she matured in her Yoga practice, she realized that the mental and spiritual journey was even more important to her than the physical growth. She knew the system was for her and now tries to go to as many classes as possible. She hopes to share her love for the Original Yoga System and healing with others.

Manuel Martinez

Manuel was born in Jalostotitlán, Mexico in 1958 and came to yoga for physical wellness. Since childhood, however, he had always been searching for true peace and naturally gravitated toward practices that were not just physical, but also meditative. What began as an unexpected introduction to the Original Yoga System became a meaningful path of healing, peace, and personal growth for Manuel. After several years of practice, he felt inspired to fully embrace the system through the Yoga Academy - Master Key: International Teacher Training Program. He is especially inspired to share the Original Yoga System with those who have mobility limitations, offering them hope, encouragement, and a reminder not to give up. Manuel is a firm believer in continuous practice and feels that the practice itself is the journey.
